Patna, April 21 (NationPress) The Indian Air Force's dazzling Surya Kiran Aerobatic team is set to illuminate the skies of Patna on Tuesday, commemorating the Shaurya Jayanti of Veer Kunwar Singh.

The aerial exhibition will take place on the JP Ganga Path near Sabhyata Dwar, featuring students from 40 government and private schools participating in this significant event.

This display pays homage to the courageous martyrs of the 1857 revolt, showcasing the bravery of Veer Kunwar Singh, whose birth anniversary is celebrated on April 23.

On Tuesday, the Surya Kiran team will conduct a dress rehearsal, with the main event scheduled for Wednesday at the same location.

The centerpiece of the Shaurya Diwas celebration will be the stunning performance of the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team featuring nine Hawk-132 jet planes.

District Education Officer Sanjay Kumar has confirmed that students from grades 8 to 12 have been invited, with notifications already sent to school principals.

Teachers and parents are also encouraged to attend the event.

To foster a sense of patriotism and pride in the Air Force, the State Education Department has directed schools to hold awareness sessions regarding career opportunities in the Indian Air Force prior to the aerobatic display.

Participating schools include Government Girls Higher Secondary School (Bankipur), BN Collegiate School, TK Ghosh Academy, PN Anglo School, St. Michael's High School, St. Xavier's High School, Don Bosco Academy, among others.

The aerial demonstration will take place from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. To facilitate a smooth event, a total of 140 police officers and 400 Constables/Home Guards have been assigned to ensure safety and order, as stated by Patna Traffic Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohan.

Vehicles of participants will be parked at Gandhi Maidan, with attendees proceeding on foot to the Ganga Path.

Various parking zones and traffic diversions have been established for different routes.

From Digha, U-turn at LCT Ghat, vehicles can be parked along designated lanes, while vehicles arriving from Gaighat are allowed to park near Krishna Ghat. Motorists coming from Danapur via Ashok Rajpath can park at Ghats number 83, 88, and 93.

Vehicles approaching from the JP Golambar side can park at Gandhi Maidan.

Additional parking facilities are available at Science College Ground, Patna College, Mahendru, and the Collectorate.
