Shillong, March 18 (NationPress) The government of Meghalaya, in partnership with the Indian Chamber of Commerce, is preparing to host a 3-day 'Act East Business Show' in Shillong aimed at enhancing economic and trade ties between BBIN and ASEAN countries.
According to a Meghalaya government representative, this 7th edition of the 'Act East Business Show' will occur from March 25 to 27 at the state convention center, with the goal of strengthening economic and trade connections between BBIN (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal), a sub-regional alliance in South Asia, and ASEAN nations.
The event will emphasize significant sectors such as technology, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism.
The opening session on March 25 will feature remarks from Meghalaya's Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, with senior officials from the Government of India and esteemed diplomats in attendance. This inaugural session aims to convene leading figures, policymakers, and industry specialists.
