Speaking in Hindi, Chouhan said the reforms were directly shaped by students themselves — 'mere beta-betiyon ke sujhav' ('suggestions from my sons and daughters') — on issues ranging from timely admissions and academic sessions running on schedule to examinations held without delay. 'Work is continuously being done to implement their suggestions,' he said, congratulating ICAR Director General Dr. M.L. Jat and his entire team for making the single-click scholarship a reality.

For students at ICAR-affiliated universities across India, scholarship delays have long been a pressure point — particularly for those from rural and agrarian families who depend on these funds to sustain their studies. The new system promises monthly, on-time credit with a single administrative action, cutting out the multi-step processing that typically caused disbursement gaps. The move aligns with India's broader Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) architecture, which has been progressively extended to central sector scholarship schemes since 2013 to reduce leakages and ensure money reaches students directly.
