In a shocking escalation, a customer at the 'Sahara Vada Pav' establishment, where he had come to enjoy samosas and cutlets, turned aggressive and bit off the shopkeeper’s finger, despite having settled his bill earlier. The Dindoshi Police have initiated a case against the individual and taken him into custody while investigations continue.
The Mumbai Police reported that the confrontation took place around 8:30 PM at Shivaji Chowk. Ranjit Harivansh Singh, the 40-year-old shop owner, explained that tensions flared when his son, Aryan, requested payment from the customer after his meal.
Although the customer claimed to have made an online transaction, he became restless, launched into a tirade of verbal abuse towards the staff, and fostered a threatening atmosphere.
When Ranjit Singh stepped in to calm the situation and urged the customer to exit the premises, matters escalated quickly. In a fit of rage, the accused reportedly assaulted the shopkeeper. During the struggle, he seized Ranjit’s right hand and bit down on his middle finger with such intensity that the tip was completely severed.
