New Delhi, Nov 23 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced remarkable advancements in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025, with the distribution of Enumeration Forms (EFs) soaring to 99.02% across 12 states and Union Territories.
As per the Daily Bulletin released at 3 p.m. on Sunday, the national EF distribution has reached an impressive 99.02%, showcasing effective field mobilization by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and active involvement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
During this enumeration phase, ongoing from November 4 to December 4, a total of 50.47 crore EFs have been distributed from an eligible pool of 50.97 crore electors.
However, digitisation is lagging behind distribution, with only 20.02 crore forms digitized thus far, resulting in a digitisation rate of 39.29%.
Goa and Lakshadweep have achieved a flawless 100% distribution of EFs, closely followed by Andaman and Nicobar at 99.98%, Madhya Pradesh at 99.82%, West Bengal at 99.75%, and Gujarat at 99.67%.
Uttar Pradesh, the largest state by electorate size, has reached a distribution of 99.60%, encompassing over 15.38 crore electors.
Puducherry (95.34%), Tamil Nadu (95.96%), and Kerala (97.23%) recorded the lowest EF distribution.
In terms of digitisation, Lakshadweep leads with 88.20%, followed by Goa with 69.38% and Rajasthan at 65.52%.
Kerala exhibits the lowest digitisation progress at merely 15.92%, with Uttar Pradesh at 19.02%.
The Election Commission emphasized that acknowledged political parties are encouraged to assign more Booth Level Agents to expedite the verification and digitisation process.
The press note from the ECI clarified that the data from Rajasthan does not include the Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision was postponed owing to a by-election.
The ECI will continue to issue scheduled bulletins as the revision process approaches its December 4 deadline.
