Kolkata, May 10 (NationPress) Six Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended near the international border in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Saturday while attempting to evade back to their homeland through the porous border regions, as per official reports.
Of the six individuals detained, five are women and one is a minor. Additionally, three local facilitators who initially aided their illegal entry into India and were now assisting their return to Bangladesh were also arrested by the West Bengal Police.
The arrests occurred in Bagda, a location in North 24 Parganas that is notably close to the international border with Bangladesh. Police on patrol became suspicious of their activities and, suspecting they were attempting to cross back over, interrogated them.
