Developed through the corporate social responsibility initiatives of Mahindra Excello and United Way of Vadodara, this Smart Anganwadi Centre is now providing young children with state-of-the-art tools for learning and development, along with essential day-care and nutrition.

Previously a modest facility with limited attendance, the centre has seen a remarkable transformation, featuring smart televisions, interactive audio-visual content, and healthy meals.

Children from underprivileged backgrounds are flourishing in an environment that combines technology with traditional nurturing, ensuring comprehensive growth from the very beginning.

Savitri A. Nathji, Programme Officer for the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), emphasizes the digital advancement.

"To support digital learning for the children, we have installed a smart TV in the Anganwadi," she states.

"It comes loaded with a pen drive containing audio-video stories, nursery rhymes, and poems, allowing the little ones to absorb knowledge both visually and aurally."

The impact on enrollment has been significant. Where only a few children once attended, the centre now boasts nearly perfect attendance, achieving 100 percent. Ms. Nathji credits this increase to the appeal of facilities comparable to those found in private institutions.

"Parents in Namisara 1 are thrilled to enroll their children here, attracted by the high-quality provisions that reflect elite schools," she remarks.

Local parents share this view, appreciating the all-encompassing care that extends beyond the classroom.

Afrozbano Chauhan, a mother whose daughter is enrolled at the centre, expresses her excitement: "The children learn everything offered at the Bal Mandir. They enjoy excellent meals, including milk, fruits, and a variety of nutritious dishes. My daughter comes home eager to study; she receives thorough instruction and individual attention. She quickly grasps concepts and confidently articulates what she learns in class."

This initiative not only provides modern education but also establishes a strong foundation for the children's future success.
