New Delhi, June 19 (NationPress) The BJP on Thursday vehemently condemned the Congress party, claiming it is disseminating Pakistani propaganda after the opposition raised concerns over US President Donald Trump hosting Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, for lunch.
The Congress described this meeting as a significant setback to Indian diplomacy. Party leader Udit Raj remarked that Munir's visit to the US indicates a change in Pakistan’s global position.
Udit Raj stated, “Following 'Operation Sindoor', Pakistan's international image and foreign policy have been on an upward trajectory. No nation has come forward to support India. Is questioning our failures now deemed anti-national? It is vital for the nation to introspect; blind ignorance will lead to our downfall.”
In response to the Congress’s remarks, BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain expressed to IANS, “What has happened to the Congress party? They are parroting Pakistan’s narrative.”
“Every inquiry they pose mirrors questions raised by Pakistan. The Congress has become a mere echo of Pakistan's talking points. This is truly regrettable. A party with such a rich legacy is now devoid of its own agenda, advocating for Pakistan’s interests instead,” he asserted.
Hussain also highlighted the return of 110 Indian students from Iran, marking a successful evacuation under 'Operation Sindhu'.
“The return of Indian students from Iran has been executed quietly. Whenever Indian citizens find themselves in trouble abroad, the PM Modi government has always responded swiftly.
“Currently, during the Iran-Israel conflict, efforts are underway to evacuate Indians trapped in the region. Public sentiment is grateful. Over 100 individuals have been brought back so far under 'Operation Sindhu', and more are expected to follow. The Indian government is dedicated to ensuring the safety and welfare of every Indian abroad,” he stated to IANS.
Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Siwan, Bihar on June 20, Hussain noted, “The Prime Minister will launch several development initiatives. The community is enthusiastic and eagerly anticipating a large public assembly. Whenever the Prime Minister visits Bihar, he brings new development projects. Last time, he inaugurated schemes worth Rs 8,000 crore, and now he is set to introduce even more.”
He further criticized opposition leaders for their comments surrounding the Prime Minister’s visit, asserting that Bihar possesses a “double-engine” government focused on development.
Hussain also responded to remarks made by Samajwadi Party leader S.T. Hasan concerning International Yoga Day.
Hasan had claimed, “There is no necessity to grant a break on Yoga Day. Employees can practice yoga at home and then report to work. If Muslims aren't allocated even half an hour for Namaaz, how is it fair to allow a break for yoga?”
In response, Hussain said, “Hasan fails to recognize the significance of yoga for both physical and mental health. Worship and puja are different matters. Why conflate yoga with religion? Many Islamic nations engage in yoga practice. Should Hasan partake in yoga, he’d find better health and perhaps utter more enlightened statements in the future.”
