The Minister for School Education and Literacy, S. Madhu Bangarappa, visited the SSLC examination center at Karnataka Public School, located on 13th Cross Road in Malleswaram, Bengaluru, to extend his heartfelt wishes to the students.
Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, expressed his support on social media platform X, stating, "As the SSLC examinations commence today, I send my warmest regards to all students undertaking the exams."
"Approach the examinations with assurance after adequate preparation. Tackle your exams with patience and bravery. Keep in mind that this is merely one phase in your journey towards future achievements," he advised.
Kumaraswamy added, "My best wishes are with all of you, dear children."
The statewide SSLC examinations are scheduled to run from March 18 to April 2.
Previously, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah conveyed, “On behalf of the government and personally, I wish all 8,65,988 students taking the SSLC examinations starting tomorrow the best of luck. Students should approach the exams without anxiety or fear.”
"The government has arranged three examination attempts (Exam 1, 2, and 3). Should students score low marks or fail, they will have a chance to retake the exam. Hence, no student should lose their confidence or feel anxious,” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah encouraged.
Minister Madhu Bangarappa remarked on Tuesday, “The Second PUC examinations have concluded without issues, and from tomorrow until April 2, around 8.66 lakh students will be appearing for the SSLC examinations. In order to alleviate the exam-related fears among students, our government has provided three opportunities throughout the year (Exam 1, 2, and 3)."
"To ensure that it does not become a financial burden for students from less privileged backgrounds, our government has waived the fee for supplementary examinations for those who do not pass. Furthermore, parent-teacher meetings (PTM) have been successfully organized in government schools, akin to private institutions. I thank the Home Department, educators, and parents for their cooperation in the examination process. Through this platform, I wish success to all students undertaking the exams,” he stated.
Opposition Leader R. Ashoka emphasized, “The SSLC is a critical stage in a student’s life. Parents should avoid placing unnecessary stress on their children regarding marks at the last minute, which can lead to mental strain. Simultaneously, the government must act decisively and ensure that those who disseminate fake question papers on social media are punished to avoid confusion among students. I wish all SSLC students in the state great success.”
