Bengaluru, Feb 17 (NationPress) The II PUC (Second Pre-University Course, class 12) board examinations are set to take place from February 28 to March 17, while the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Class 10, SSLC) board examinations will occur from March 18 to April 2, as announced by Karnataka's Education Minister, Madhu Bangarappa, on Tuesday.
During a press conference in Bengaluru, the Minister indicated that the II PUC examinations will occur daily from 10 am to 1 pm, and the SSLC exams will be conducted from 10 am to 1.15 pm.
Approximately 7.10 lakh students have registered for the II PUC exams, while 9.02 lakh students are enrolled for the SSLC exams. Of these, 13,022 are repeaters in II PUC and 27,189 are SSLC repeat students.
The schedule released by the Department of School Education indicates that the II PUC exams will commence on February 28 with Kannada and Arabic, followed by Geography, Statistics, and Psychology on March 2, and English on March 3.
Language papers, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, and French, will take place on March 4, with History scheduled for March 5 and Physics on March 6.
Exams for Optional Kannada, Business Studies, and Geology are set for March 7, followed by Chemistry, Education, and Basic Mathematics on March 9. Economics is slated for March 10, with Logic, Electronics, and Home Science on March 11, and Hindi on March 12.
The Political Science exam will occur on March 13, while Accountancy and Mathematics are scheduled for March 14. Exams for Sociology, Biology, and Computer Science will be held on March 16, concluding on March 17 with subjects such as Hindustani Music, Music, Retail, Automobile, and Healthcare.
The SSLC examinations will kick off on March 18 with the First Language paper. The Science exam is set for March 23, followed by the Second Language on March 25, Mathematics on March 28, and Third Language on March 30. The exams will wrap up on April 2 with Social Science.
Minister Bangarappa assured that necessary measures have been taken to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examinations statewide. The II PUC results are anticipated to be announced on April 7, while the SSLC results are expected on April 24.
Students can present their hall tickets to avail of free transport on RTC buses. Additionally, the entry of mobile phones and electronic devices into examination halls is strictly prohibited. The relevant Deputy Commissioners (DC) and Superintendents of Police (SP) have been instructed to enforce necessary actions, the Minister stated.
