Patna, Feb 26 (NationPress) A momentous event transpired today at the esteemed Thawe Durga Temple, recognized as one of Bihar’s major Shakti Peeths. The gold and silver ornaments that were stolen during the theft on December 17/18, 2025, were officially returned to the temple management committee in compliance with court orders.

The retrieved items, which include the Goddess Durga's gold and silver crown, necklace, and umbrella (chhatra), were returned under strict legal protocols and heavy security measures.

From the early hours of the day, the temple premises were filled with devotees, with the sounds of “Mata Rani” resonating throughout the area.

The theft, which occurred on the night of December 17/18, 2025, created a significant disturbance in the district and caused considerable distress among the devotees.

A special investigation team was promptly established, led by Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated actions of law enforcement, all the stolen ornaments were successfully retrieved, including the deity's crown, necklace, and umbrella.
