Bhubaneswar, May 9 (NationPress) Celebrated sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has crafted a stunning sand sculpture of the ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ at Puri beach in Odisha, accompanied by the heartfelt message "Jai Hind, Salute to Indian Armed forces" on Friday.

This magnificent sand sculpture serves as a tribute to the bravery of the armed forces and symbolizes the nation's robust air defense system, which has successfully neutralized all threats from across the border, protecting our territory from any form of attack.

The Indian Air Force's defense capabilities are significantly enhanced by the S-400 air missile defense systems, commonly referred to as ‘Sudarshan Chakra’. These systems played a crucial role in intercepting all Pakistani drones and missiles aimed at 15 Indian cities, effectively thwarting Islamabad's efforts to compromise military installations.

On Thursday night, not a single projectile launched by Pakistan managed to hit its target, thanks to the Russian-imported S-400 defense system, which, along with the indigenous Akash defense system, successfully repelled every assault.

Pattnaik's sculpture, measuring an impressive 10 feet in length, celebrates the achievements of India's air defense systems.

He utilized approximately 8 tonnes of sand to create this remarkable piece, with assistance from his students in bringing the sculpture to life.

“We salute our Indian armed forces; all Indians stand united with them. Jai Hind,” expressed Sudarsan Pattnaik in a statement.

Interestingly, the Padma awardee has participated in over 65 international sand sculpture competitions and festivals worldwide, earning numerous accolades for his country. He is dedicated to raising awareness on vital public issues through his sand art, addressing topics such as HIV/AIDS, Covid-19, global warming, Stop Terrorism, Beat Plastic Pollution, and Save Environment.
