Mumbai, Jan 31 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sunetra Pawar on Saturday following her oath as Maharashtra’s inaugural female Deputy Chief Minister. He expressed his firm belief that she would work relentlessly for the betterment of the people and continue the vision laid out by the late Ajit Pawar.

In a post shared in both Marathi and English on X, PM Modi stated, “Best wishes to Sunetra Pawar Ji as she embarks on her role as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, becoming the first woman to assume this position. I am confident she will work tirelessly for the welfare of the state's populace and fulfill the vision of the late Ajitdada Pawar.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari remarked, “Congratulations to Smt @SunetraA_Pawar on her oath as the first female Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. It’s commendable that Smt. Sunetra Tai is stepping up to this role while considering the state’s interests, even during challenging times.”

NCP SP legislator Rohit Pawar expressed his joy, stating, “I am thrilled that Hon. Sunetrabai has taken the oath as the state’s first female Deputy Chief Minister. Truly, no one can replace Hon. Ajitdada, but through Sunetrabai, we can somehow feel his presence... Amidst our grief, we find it hard to convey our congratulations.”

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray commented on the political transformations following Sunetra Pawar’s swearing-in, stating, “The political landscape of Maharashtra has changed dramatically recently; honestly, it’s hard to comment. Yet, we must discuss these daily unfolding events. A party like the Nationalist Congress Party, deeply rooted in Marathi culture, deserves a true Marathi leader, perhaps a Patil, not a Patel.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Sunetra Ajit Pawar on her swearing-in as Deputy Chief Minister, expressing confidence that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Dev Fadnavis, she would accelerate Maharashtra’s development journey. He wished her a prosperous and successful tenure.

BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde reflected, “With the passing of Ajit Dada, the 'knot' of life may have loosened, but the commitment to continuing his mission for Maharashtra has been firmly re-established with Sunetra Ajit Pawar assuming the Deputy Chief Minister responsibilities.
