While raising the national flag during the 79th Independence Day festivities at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar, he proclaimed, "Let us back our farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs. Each Swadeshi choice fortifies our economy and uplifts our people."

He highlighted India's status as the fourth-largest economy globally, with aspirations to ascend to the third spot.

"India's influence resonates at international platforms, shaping global discourse. As a prominent voice for the Global South, we draw strength from the global confidence in India and our Prime Minister. Our voice echoes beyond our borders now," asserted CM Khandu.
