Gandhinagar, March 5 (NationPress) - The All India Civil Services Swimming Championship 2024-25 is taking place in Gandhinagar, featuring 409 athletes and officials from 13 states, 12 regional sports boards, and four Union Territories.

This event spans three days, from March 5 to March 7, and was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Secretariat Gymkhana by Kamal Dayani, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Gujarat Government. This marks the sixth occasion that Gujarat has played host to this championship.

The championship is part of the initiatives by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board (CCSCSB) aimed at enhancing sports participation among government employees. Gujarat has a history of organizing national tournaments in various sports, including table tennis, volleyball, kabaddi, chess, and badminton.
