Bengaluru, April 1 (NationPress) The Special Wing of the CCB Police in Karnataka has apprehended a preschool educator for her attempt to honey-trap the father of one of her students, who is an industrialist in Bengaluru, on Tuesday.
As per an official source, two accomplices, including a known rowdy-sheeter, were also detained on allegations of honey-trapping and extortion.
Investigations reveal that the industrialist, unaware of the teacher's malicious intentions, initially handed over Rs 50,000 in exchange for a kiss. Once he had fallen victim to the scheme, she began demanding Rs 15 lakh. Together with her associates, she extracted Rs 1.90 lakh from him and threatened to disseminate intimate videos and images of him on social media if he did not comply with her financial demands.
The suspects have been identified as 25-year-old Sridevi Rudagi, 38-year-old Ganesh Kale, and 28-year-old Sagar More. Ganesh Kale, a known rowdy-sheeter from Vijayapura, has nine criminal cases registered against him.
The CCB Police have taken the suspects into custody and are currently investigating the case.
Sources indicate that the accused teacher operated a preschool in Bengaluru and first became acquainted with the industrialist in 2023 when he enrolled his children in her establishment. Subsequently, she borrowed Rs 2 lakh from him for the preschool's operations, assuring him that she would repay it within a year.
When the industrialist requested repayment, she instead suggested a partnership in managing the preschool, leading to a more intimate relationship. She even acquired a separate SIM card to facilitate communication. When he pressed for the return of his loan, she proposed fulfilling his desires in exchange for canceling the debt.
During a visit to the industrialist's residence, she kissed him, and instead of reclaiming her loan, he handed her Rs 50,000. She subsequently sought a deeper relationship and requested Rs 15 lakh. As her monetary demands escalated, the industrialist chose to terminate the relationship and discarded the SIM card he had purchased solely for their communications.
On March 12, the accused contacted the industrialist, instructing him to collect his children's transfer certificates. Upon his arrival at the preschool, she was present with her two accomplices. They claimed she was engaged to Sagar More and accused the industrialist of having an affair with her.
The woman and her associates then threatened to reveal their liaison to his family. Initially, they demanded Rs 1 crore to keep silent and not release his private videos and communications. Eventually, they lowered their demand to Rs 20 lakh and ultimately extorted Rs 1.90 lakh from him. However, on March 17, the woman made yet another extortion call, demanding Rs 15 lakh. At this juncture, the industrialist contacted the police.
After an investigation, the CCB Police apprehended the suspects. The case is presently under further examination.
