New Delhi, July 11 (NationPress) Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi will spearhead discussions aimed at improving technology-driven and integrated service delivery at the grassroots during a zonal meeting in Kevadia, Gujarat.
The Zonal Meeting serves as a vital platform for fostering constructive dialogue between the Centre and States, focusing on bolstering the execution of the Ministry's flagship initiatives, an official revealed on Friday.
The flagship schemes expected to be on the agenda include Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Saksham Anganwadi, and Poshan 2.0.
According to an official statement, discussions will address aspects of service delivery, the integration of digital solutions like the Poshan Tracker, utilization of emerging technologies such as Face Recognition Systems (FRS), and strategies to enhance technology-enabled and integrated service delivery at the grassroots.
Joining the discussions will be Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur and Gujarat Minister for Women and Child Development Bhanuben Babariya.
Representatives from States and Union Territories, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, will also participate.
Ministers and senior officials from the Women and Child Development Departments of these States/UTs are expected to attend, showcasing best practices, innovative models, and successful interventions to promote cross-learning in the region.
As part of this initiative, the Ministry will conduct a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
Delegates will also explore the Children’s Nutrition Park, the Statue of Unity, and participate in the Narmada Aarti and the Light and Sound Show, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to a culturally enriched and integrated approach to development.
This zonal meeting of the Women and Child Development Ministry follows a two-day Vice Chancellors Conference of Central Universities held at Kevadia.
Previously, Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the role of central universities in enhancing the research and innovation landscape, faculty capacity building, and institutional governance.
