Patna, Oct 24 (NationPress) RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav commenced his campaign on Friday, just a day after receiving unanimous support from all Mahagathbandhan partners for his Chief Ministerial nomination. He pledged to transform Bihar into the top state in the nation.
While addressing the media before departing Patna, the RJD leader stated, “Tejashwi does not make broken and false promises. I stand firm on my word: making Bihar number one is our mission.”
In an effort to resonate with the public and capture their attention, he asserted his intention to position the entire 14 crore population as Bihar CM, hinting at a vision of a “Chinta Mukt” Bihar.
He also emphasized that if the Mahagathbandhan is elected, their administration will prioritize education, health, and enhancing citizens' income. He reiterated his commitment to fulfill every promise made to Bihar's voters.
“We have introduced a scheme for Jeevika Didi. We are dedicated to delivering on all these commitments,” he affirmed, adding that his government would ensure a government job for every family member, as previously pledged.
“Our focus will be on education, health, justice, and employment, which will form the bedrock for development and effective governance in Bihar,” he declared.
Earlier that day, before embarking on his campaign, Tejashwi shared a photograph with VIP chief Mukesh Sahani, both poised in a helicopter, gearing up for the dynamic campaign for the two-phase elections.
“Steps moving towards our goal with enthusiasm, zeal, hope, and faith!” Tejashwi captioned the photo.
All political parties have now begun their campaigns for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
On Thursday, following weeks of intense infighting and uncertainty, the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) in Bihar officially named RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly election. This announcement was made during a joint press conference held at Hotel Maurya, Patna.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made the announcement in the presence of leaders from the alliance's constituent parties. He also revealed Mukesh Sahani as the candidate for the Deputy Chief Minister's position. This decision followed a lengthy dispute among alliance partners, notably between the RJD and the Congress, regarding seat-sharing and the Chief Ministerial face.
