New Delhi, Oct 26 (NationPress) RJD leader and the chief ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan, Tejashwi Yadav, asserted on Sunday that his administration would abolish the Waqf Act if he is elected in Bihar.

Speaking at a large rally in Araria, Yadav emphasized that his primary objectives as Chief Minister would include addressing unemployment, enhancing education, and transforming Bihar into the “number one state” across the nation.

“I want to assure you that when I take on the role of CM, Tejashwi will discard the Waqf Board law without hesitation. When I become the CM, every Bihari will feel like a CM — meaning ‘Chinta Mukt’ (free from worries). Currently, Bihar is struggling with inadequate colleges, subpar education, high poverty rates, and ongoing migration. My sole ambition is to elevate Bihar to the top position,” Yadav stated, criticizing the ruling NDA for its “20 years of stagnation.”

His comments arise amidst increasing controversy surrounding a viral video featuring RJD MLC Qari Soheb, who mentioned that the Waqf bill would be discarded should Tejashwi Yadav take office.

Earlier in the day, the BJP accused the RJD and its allies of duplicity and “endangering the Constitution.”

BJP’s IT Cell head, Amit Malviya, shared on social media that “those who claim to defend the Constitution are the very ones scheming to alter it.”

“These individuals aim to usurp the land and rights of Dalits, Backward Classes, and tribal communities,” Malviya questioned if Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav — who brand themselves as defenders of the Constitution — will take accountability for such remarks.

“Will they permit individuals like Qari Soheb to infringe upon the land and reservation rights of impoverished Hindus?” he inquired.

In his video, Qari Soheb also urged the defeat of NDA allies and promised that once Tejashwi takes office, “all such bills will be discarded” to establish a government centered on “unity, brotherhood, and humanity.”
