New Delhi, Oct 25 (NationPress) A significant political uproar ignited in Bihar on Saturday after a video emerged from an RJD rally, featuring a speaker making a controversial remark regarding the Waqf Bill and calling on the public to support Tejashwi Yadav for the Chief Minister position.
The video, circulated by BJP’s National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari on X, depicts an individual addressing a crowd from the RJD platform, openly advocating to “tear apart the Waqf Bill” should Tejashwi Yadav take office. The speaker urges attendees not to be swayed by the BJP's narrative and to rally behind the RJD leader.
He is heard declaring, “Don’t let the BJP mislead you. Those who backed the Waqf Bill need to face consequences. The BJP, JDU, LJP - they are all against us. Once Tejashwi Yadav becomes Chief Minister, any such bills will be dismantled, including the Waqf Bill. This government will embody humanity and love.
In sharing the clip, Pradeep Bhandari commented, “If Tejashwi Yadav becomes CM, we will dismantle the Waqf Bill! A clear declaration from the RJD platform. This reveals the genuine agenda - to reinstate Jungle Raj at any price. RJD seeks votes while supporting a land mafia that is taking the land of EBC and SC in Bihar! Bihar will turn away from RJD and Congress.”
This statement is expected to heighten the political tension in Bihar as elections approach.
BJP leaders have criticized the RJD for engaging in divisive politics and leveraging religious sentiments to sway voters in the lead-up to the state elections.
Notably, a few months prior, Tejashwi Yadav, during a ‘Save Waqf, Save Constitution’ rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, stated that the Opposition coalition would repeal the Waqf Law if they gained power.
“The NDA in Bihar is on its last legs, and once we assume governance, we will discard the Waqf Act instituted by the PM Narendra Modi administration,” Yadav had asserted.
