Hyderabad, May 9 (NationPress) Members of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council, affiliated with the ruling Congress party, have pledged to donate their one-month salary to the National Defence Fund amidst the escalating tensions along the borders between India and Pakistan.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy initiated this proposal as a gesture to support the Indian Army currently engaged in combat against Pakistan.
He conferred with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka regarding this initiative, who will make a formal announcement after consulting with the Congress MLAs and MLCs.
