Hyderabad, April 7 (NationPress) Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma took part in the Sri Rama Samrajya Pattabhishekam at the historic Bhadrachalam temple located in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Monday.

The Governor engaged in rituals at the Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple, which dates back to the 17th century.

During the divine coronation of Lord Ram, the Governor presented Pattu Vastralu to the deity, adhering to the temple's customs.

Expressing his spiritual joy, Jishnu Dev Varma stated he felt profoundly blessed to be part of the sacred ceremony at such a historically and religiously vital site. He highlighted the enduring significance of Lord Ram's principles and urged everyone to embrace the virtues of righteousness, compassion, and truthfulness exemplified by the Maryada Purushottam.

Earlier that day, the Governor had the opportunity to have darshan of the main deities at the Bhadradri temple and offered special prayers.

The temple priests conducted the Pattabhishekam rituals with elaborate Vedic chanting and ceremonial splendor, bestowing blessings on the Governor through ashirvachanam and providing him with prasadam.

Accompanying the Governor were Telangana’s Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswararao, the Commissioner of Endowments, the District Collector, the Superintendent of Police of Bhadradri Kothagudem, and senior temple officials.

On Sunday, thousands of devotees witnessed the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and his consort Sita, performed with great religious fervor at Mithila Stadium in Bhadrachalam during the Ram Navami celebrations.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his wife Geetha presented pattu vastralu (silk garments) and mutyala talambralu (pearl necklaces) to the deities on behalf of the state government.

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari also made offerings to the deities.

Other dignitaries such as Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust board chairman B.R. Naidu were also present at the divine wedding.

The celebrations were conducted in a grand manner, with the famous temple beautifully adorned for this special occasion.
