Hyderabad, April 6 (NationPress) The celestial wedding of Lord Ram and his beloved Sita at the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, was a spectacle of religious devotion on the occasion of Ram Navami this past Sunday.

Thousands of devotees, amidst stringent security protocols, gathered for this annual grand religious affair.

Participants came from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to witness the Sitarama Kalyanam.

The state’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, along with his wife Geetha, presented pattu vastralu (silk garments) and mutyala talambralu (pearl necklaces) as offerings to the deities.

Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumar also made significant contributions.

V.V.R. Naidu, Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), represented TTD in making offerings.

The festivities were executed in a splendid traditional style, with the temple adorned for the momentous occasion.

A dedicated group of priests performed detailed rituals to celebrate this celestial union. The rituals related to Sitarama Kalyanam captivated thousands of attendees at the Mithila Mandapam.

Prominent figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister P. Srinivas Reddy, and public representatives along with District Collectors from Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, were present for the event.

Prior to the main celebrations, specific rituals took place in the temple, followed by a grand procession carrying the deities.

The Endowments Department organized tents to provide shade for the devotees from the intense sunlight. The temple authorities prepared two lakh packets of prasadam to distribute among the attendees.

Over 2,000 policemen were stationed to maintain security during the ceremony.

Both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Governor Jishnu Dev Varma conveyed their best wishes to the public on this auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.

The Chief Minister expressed his hopes that the blessings and grace of the Lord would be upon everyone as they celebrated the divine marriage of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy.
