Devotees Flock to Temples in Telugu States on New Year's Day 2025

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (NationPress) Temples in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh experienced a remarkable turnout of devotees on the inaugural day of 2025, with thousands forming lines to receive divine blessings.

From the early hours, temples in Hyderabad and various regions of Telangana, along with neighboring Andhra Pradesh, saw a surge of visitors.

Seeking happiness and prosperity for the year ahead, men and women eagerly flocked to the temples.

A significant number of devotees gathered at the renowned Birla Temple located in the heart of Hyderabad and the Chilkur Balaji Temple situated on the outskirts of the city.

Notable crowds were also present at Peddamma Temple and Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Srinagar Colony.

Special prayers were offered at the well-known hill shrine of Yadadri, the ancient Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal, and the Vemulawada Temple on this first day of the New Year. Priests at the Bhadrakali Temple conducted special rituals and bestowed blessings upon the devotees.

Authorities had implemented comprehensive arrangements across the temples to accommodate the influx of visitors.

Thousands queued at the famous Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh on New Year’s Day.

The Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada and the Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam also experienced a massive turnout.

Men, women, and children began lining up as early as dawn at temples across Chittoor, Kurnool, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram, and other areas.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada to offer prayers on the New Year.

Meanwhile, several notable personalities paid their respects at the Tirumala Temple on Wednesday.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had their darshan at the famous hill shrine.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also offered prayers at the Tirumala Temple.

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife Prashanti Reddy were among the prominent figures visiting the Tirumala Temple on Wednesday.
