Hyderabad, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, proclaimed on Tuesday that the state government will actively promote eco-tourism by crafting a new tourism policy.

He further announced plans to transform Vikarabad into an eco-tourism hub, advocating for the enhancement of temple and health tourism, along with the development of additional tourism sites within the state.

During the inauguration of Experium Eco-Friendly Park, a groundbreaking eco-recreational destination located in Proddutur village of Rangareddy district, the CM was joined by Telangana's Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jupally Krishna Rao, and Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Reddy observed that many residents of Telangana travel to other states to explore temples and forests. He emphasized that fostering temple and eco-tourism will not only elevate the state's profile but will also boost revenue. He cited the state's renowned temples, such as the Ramappa Temple and the Thousand Pillar Temple, alongside natural treasures like the Nallamalla forests and Mallela Teertham. The Chief Minister indicated that the government aims to promote Telangana as a prime natural forest destination.

He encouraged taking inspiration from 'forest man' Vanajeevi Ramaiah. Reddy mentioned that a policy would be introduced to encourage students to plant trees in honor of their mothers and to ensure the protection of these plants. The Chief Minister also congratulated Ramadugu Ramdev, the visionary behind Experium, for establishing this stunning facility.

Spanning 150 acres, Experium boasts an impressive collection of 25,000 plant species and rare trees sourced from 85 countries. This park is home to ancient trees valued between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 3.5 crore.

It is touted as a unique tourism and environmental destination, featuring plants, trees, and vegetation valued at Rs 150 crore. Many notable figures, including top actors and leading industrialists, have acquired rare plant species through Unique Trees, a company established by Ramadugu Ramdev.
