Tension escalated in Parda village, located in the Manasa police station jurisdiction of Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh, following the alleged molestation of a 13-year-old girl by a 55-year-old man. The suspect, known as Abdul Rahman, reportedly enticed the young girl to his home while she was alone and subjected her to inappropriate behavior.

After attending a religious event around 10:30 p.m., the girl recounted her traumatic experience to her parents. She claimed that the accused threatened her with severe repercussions and attempted to silence her by offering her Rs 50.

The police took action by filing a case based on the girl's complaint and apprehended Abdul Rahman at a friend's house, as he had fled from his own residence.

This arrest led to widespread anger among the villagers.

On the morning following the incident, villagers, along with members of Hindu organizations, organized a protest. They obstructed a major road intersection, shouting slogans demanding the demolition of the accused’s property.

The situation intensified when some protesters stormed into Abdul Rahman's house, vandalizing it and throwing household items onto the street.

In response to the escalating chaos, police intervened, but the crowd allegedly retaliated by throwing stones. To regain control, law enforcement utilized tear gas and applied non-lethal force.

Additional Superintendent of Police Naval Singh Sisodia stated, “While the villagers were protesting against the molestation, certain anti-social elements took matters into their own hands and engaged in stone-throwing. We had no choice but to use tear gas to disperse the crowd. Although peace has been restored, we are currently identifying the rioters through video surveillance.”

A significant police presence has been established in the village to uphold law and order.

A senior police official confirmed that multiple youths have been detained, with ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, the administration has posted a notice regarding alleged unlawful construction on the accused's property. An inquiry is underway, and appropriate action will follow legal protocols.

While the situation remains tense, it is now under control.

This incident raises alarming concerns about the safety of young girls in rural communities. Local residents are calling for stringent actions against the perpetrator and demanding severe penalties to deter such offenses.

Senior police and administrative officials are closely monitoring the event to avert any further disturbances. The girl is reported safe and is receiving the necessary support.
