Pilibhit, May 9 (NationPress) Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Minister Dharmpal Singh asserted on Friday that terrorism will be eradicated from the nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance.
Commending the Modi administration and the defense forces for 'Operation Sindoor', the minister recalled the Prime Minister's commitment to eliminate terrorism.
Dharmpal Singh expressed that the public is pleased with PM Modi's courageous actions against terrorism.
Through 'Operation Sindoor', PM Modi has honored the women who lost their spouses in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that took 26 lives, he stated.
Reflecting on the heinous attack targeting Hindu men, Minister Singh remarked: 'Operation Sindoor' is a strong response to combat terrorism.
He also recounted a tragic moment from the attack, sharing that when a woman begged the terrorists to kill her after they murdered her husband, they refused, stating: 'We will not kill you. Go and inform Modi about what transpired.'
The Minister reiterated PM Modi's statement that Operation Sindoor is not a 'war' between Hindus and Muslims but a mission to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Earlier, the Indian Army announced via social media that Pakistan initiated multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along the entire Western Border on the night of May 8 and 9, leading to various ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, which were successfully countered.
On Thursday, Pakistani forces engaged in heavy shelling on the Line of Control and the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan following India's strikes on Pakistani air defense systems in several cities, including one in Lahore that was 'neutralized'.
In a sharp critique of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav for being 'anti-Sanatani', Dharampal Singh stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wears a tilak made from cow dung, while his predecessor claims it has a foul odor.
He further noted that when Akhilesh was in power, he prioritized slaughterers over cows, but under the Adityanath administration, the livestock is protected.
The Minister highlighted that PM Modi's vision of enhancing farmers' income can be realized through Animal Husbandry.
Emphasizing that cows are vital for the economy, the Minister stated that the department is focused on improving breeds, lowering the price of semen from Rs 300 to Rs 100, and providing free medications for animals to prevent disease outbreaks.
