Lucknow, Feb 9 (NationPress) BJP MP Anurag Thakur emphasized that the citizens of Delhi have welcomed the 'Modi ki guarantee' while dismissing the 'false guarantees' put forth by AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
The BJP achieved a significant victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, claiming 48 out of 70 seats, while AAP was reduced to 22, concluding its decade-long governance in the national capital. This outcome reflects a notable shift in voter attitudes, where priorities have moved towards governance and infrastructure rather than welfare schemes.
In expressing gratitude to the voters, Thakur stated to IANS, 'I thank the people of Delhi for selecting the BJP, accepting 'Modi ki guarantee', and rejecting Kejriwal's false promises. The electorate has clearly indicated that Kejriwal will not reclaim power in Delhi.'
In a jab at the AAP leader, Thakur suggested that Kejriwal should prepare for incarceration, alluding to his comment that the people's mandate could result in his imprisonment.
'The people of Delhi understand that 'Modi hai to mumkin hai.' They have voted against deception and mismanagement, confirming that 'Modi ki guarantee' is paramount.'
Critiquing Kejriwal's political journey, Thakur remarked, 'His political career started by leveraging Anna Hazare's image, only to marginalize him later. He established a party and expelled its original members. Once in power, he dismissed his own ministers.'
'He had to designate Atishi as the Chief Ministerial candidate but later tried to isolate her during the campaign. In his efforts to eliminate others, Kejriwal has ultimately failed himself.'
The BJP also triumphed in the Milkipur by-elections, with its candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan defeating Samajwadi Party's Ajit Prasad by over 60,000 votes.
Commenting on the victory, Thakur noted, 'Some individuals who previously ordered gunfire on Ram devotees are now attempting to present themselves as the rulers of Ayodhya. The people have decisively revealed who the genuine king of Ayodhya is.'
