The ‘Nishaan-e-Inquilaab’ Plaza: A Beacon of Inspiration for Youth's Selfless Service, Says Punjab CM

Chandigarh, Dec 4 (NationPress) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Wednesday that the cutting-edge ‘Nishaan-e-Inquilaab’ plaza will continuously motivate the youth towards selfless service to the nation by honoring the life and philosophy of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.
While addressing the crowd after inaugurating the plaza, which features a 30-ft bronze statue of the renowned martyr located on the road leading to the international airport in Mohali, the Chief Minister emphasized that Bhagat Singh should be commemorated not solely on his martyrdom day (March 23) or his birthday (September 28), but rather he should be celebrated at all times.
He stated that this plaza, which was built at an expense of Rs 5 crore, will serve as a source of inspiration for future generations to emulate the great martyr's path and serve the nation with dedication.
Mann expressed optimism that this plaza would function as a lighthouse for visitors from both within the country and abroad, educating them about the martyr's significance.
The Chief Minister noted that, thanks to government initiatives, the Mohali airport has been named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
He remarked that previous administrations had neglected to honor this great martyr by naming the airport, but his government prioritized this matter upon taking office.
Mann highlighted the importance of naming airports, universities, and other institutions after these legendary martyrs to sustain their remarkable legacy.
The Chief Minister assured that the government is dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of these great martyrs. He stated that, in alignment with the dreams of illustrious nationalists, the government is committed to ensuring the state's advancement and the prosperity of its citizens.
Mann predicted that with the government's concerted efforts, Punjab will soon become a leading state in the nation.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to realizing every dream of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and fostering a unified and equitable society.
He concluded by recalling that the hero of the freedom struggle sacrificed his life at a young age to liberate the nation from foreign oppression.
