The Role of Youth in Advancing Rajasthan: Insights from the Chief Minister

Jaipur, Dec 12 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhaja Lal Sharma stated on Thursday that the youth must harness their potential to drive the state's advancement.

“The contribution of the youth is essential for the state's ongoing progress. The vision of a prosperous and developed Rajasthan can only be realized through the active engagement of our young population,” remarked the Chief Minister during the Employment Festival and Youth Conference hosted at Marwar International Center, Jodhpur, commemorating the first anniversary of the state government.

He reaffirmed the government's dedication to the development and welfare of young individuals.

Encouraging the youth to aspire for greatness, he assured them of the state government's unwavering support in achieving their goals.

The Chief Minister initiated the anniversary festivities of the state government with the Employment Festival and Youth Conference. Under the theme “Nibhai Zimmedaari, Har Ghar Khushali Hai” (Fulfilling Responsibility, Happiness in Every Home), these events, running from December 12 to 17, aim to extend financial assistance to women, youth, farmers, and laborers through diverse schemes.

During this state-level gathering, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to youth who secured government positions. More than 15,000 young individuals received appointment letters during the Rozgar Utsav events across all districts. Sharma also engaged with the newly appointed individuals through video conferencing.

“This third Chief Minister Rozgar Utsav showcases our commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the youth. Today’s gathering will help shape their dreams and ambitions,” he added.

The Chief Minister praised the youth for elevating India's reputation on the global stage.

“With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is gaining confidence on the global front, powered by its youth. As the youngest nation globally, India is demonstrating its talent internationally,” he noted.

He underscored Prime Minister Modi’s focus on democracy, demography, data, and delivery at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, recognizing the crucial role of youth in leveraging India's demographic advantage.

“We launched a targeted initiative to dismantle the paper-leak mafia, establishing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to eradicate this network. Over the past year, our commitment to corruption-free recruitment has reinstated the faith of our youth in the government,” he explained.

The Chief Minister highlighted the job opportunities generated following the Rising Rajasthan Summit. In just one year, over 32,000 appointments have been made. Furthermore, more than 15,000 youth received appointment letters, and recruitment for over 85,000 government roles has commenced.

He mentioned that 144 campus placement camps have facilitated employment for 30,000 youth. Additionally, reforms such as adjustments to qualifying marks for the Common Admission Test (CET), expedited document verification, increased vacancy numbers post-notification, and streamlined educational qualifications for specific positions have been introduced.

The Chief Minister elaborated on significant initiatives aimed at enhancing education and fostering entrepreneurship, including the establishment of 37 new government colleges and five polytechnic colleges this year, along with the creation of Centers of Excellence in seven colleges under Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, offering programs in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electric Vehicles, and more. Additionally, skill training has been provided to 3 lakh youth, over 900 startups have been registered, with 150 receiving funding under the Business Innovation Programme.

“Our government is dedicated to empowering the dreams of the youth, ensuring their growth and contribution to a flourishing Rajasthan,” concluded the Chief Minister.
