Jaipur, March 29 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reiterated the commitment of the state government to enhance youth engagement in the growth of Rajasthan and the nation. He outlined ongoing initiatives to create employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurship, aiming for 10 lakh jobs in both government and private sectors.

While addressing the Chief Minister Employment Festival and Youth Conference at Dussehra Ground in Kota, part of the Rajasthan Day festivities, CM Sharma stated that this week-long festival focuses on empowering women, aiding youth, and uplifting marginalized groups. During the event, more than 7,800 newly appointed personnel across diverse departments were presented with their appointment letters.

To ensure the availability of opportunities for youth throughout all regions, employment fairs and campus placement drives are being conducted at district headquarters.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the 'Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan' and rolled out two educational apps from the department, an on-demand examination system, along with a digital admission festival under RSOS.

Additionally, he introduced direct benefit transfers for school bags and uniforms, as well as new policies aimed at youth and skill development. The event also saw the unveiling of guidelines for providing financial assistance to private-sector employees, land allocation for Dronacharya Awardees, and the establishment of the Atal Gyan Kendra and Nayi Kiran Nasha Mukti Kendra.

At the employment fair exhibition, Sharma assessed various career and skill development opportunities. He criticized the previous government for the injustices faced by youth, particularly due to recurring exam paper leaks that undermined their aspirations. He assured that his administration has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to tackle this issue, resulting in measures against the paper leak mafia and justice for affected candidates.

The newly introduced Skill Policy is designed to equip youth with modern technological skills that align with industry demands, while the Youth Policy serves as a holistic framework for education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Sharma emphasized that his government has implemented 16 policies within its first year, showcasing its dedication to achieving substantial results.

The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, aimed at enhancing employment in the private sector, has attracted investment proposals amounting to Rs 35 lakh crore, which are being swiftly executed to create new job opportunities.

Under the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a transformative measure for education and employment, the government has initiated new B. Tech and M. Tech courses at Rajasthan Technical University in Kota.

The Mukhyamantri Shiksha Rajasthan Abhiyan will expedite the implementation of the NEP statewide. Sharma also announced significant initiatives for youth welfare in the state budget, including recruitment for around 1.25 lakh government jobs.

This includes positions for 1,750 employees in the Forest Department, 4,000 Patwaris, and 10,000 school teachers. Over 67,000 positions have already been filled, while announcements have been made for 96,000 vacancies in various departments. The government has also commenced the long-awaited recruitment process for over 53,000 Class IV positions. During the event, the Chief Minister engaged with newly appointed personnel from different districts.

Visually impaired Assistant Professor Sandeep from Dungarpur expressed his gratitude, describing his appointment as a life-changing moment. Komal Sharma, a newly appointed Women Supervisor in Dausa, shared her joy in securing a job following a swift recruitment process. A new pharmacy department has also been set up in Dausa as part of the administration’s expansion initiatives.

The programme was additionally addressed by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

He remarked that Rajasthan Day symbolizes not only the celebration of history and traditions but also a reaffirmation of the commitment to a developed Rajasthan.

Commending the state government’s efforts in education and skill development, he noted that the Rajasthan Skill Policy, Yuva Rojgar Protsahan Yojana, and Yuva Niti 2025 are vital steps towards a promising future for the youth. Birla stated that the proposed Skill Institute in Kota will emerge as a hub for modern education and research.

The construction of an airport, aero city, sports city, education city, and medical tourism hub will herald a new era of industrial and educational revolution in the state. He urged the citizens to pledge towards the new development and self-reliance of Rajasthan.
