Jaipur, Dec 25 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the state government is dedicated to generating new employment opportunities for the youth across various sectors, including tourism, solar energy, and industry.
He revealed that as part of the government’s ambitious goal of creating 4 lakh jobs in the public sector and 6 lakh in the private sector over the next five years, approximately 92,000 government positions have already been filled, with recruitment for over 1.53 lakh ongoing.
Moreover, more than 2 lakh job opportunities have emerged in the private sector.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the upcoming introduction of a new Youth Policy.
He was speaking at the State-Level Employment Fair held at Commerce College, marking two years of the state government's tenure.
This employment fair exemplifies the government's commitment to prioritizing employment, skill development, and entrepreneurship.
Over 100 employers from various sectors participated in the fair, and the Chief Minister indicated that such employment fairs would be regularly conducted in every district to ensure sustainable local job opportunities.
He highlighted that during the government's two years in office, there has been no instance of paper leaks, contrasting with the previous administration, which caused significant distress for the youth through repeated incidents.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s 1893 message, “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved,” he stated that the 21st century belongs to India, which is swiftly advancing towards becoming a global leader under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sharma emphasized that the government has developed a clear roadmap over the past two years focusing on water, electricity, industry, and employment.
During the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed, with ground-breaking already initiated for projects valued at Rs 8 lakh crore. These investments are poised to generate substantial new employment opportunities for the youth.
The Chief Minister noted that around 410 employment assistance camps have been held, leading to over 1.11 lakh unemployed candidates securing jobs.
To foster self-reliance and provide financial aid to the youth, the Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojana is being rolled out.
Through this initiative, more than 4 lakh youths have benefitted, with Rs 1,156 crore already distributed as unemployment assistance.
Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore remarked that the youth of Rajasthan are industrious and disciplined, making them highly desirable for private sector firms.
He characterized the employment fair as a pathway to self-reliance, underscoring that private sector jobs are being facilitated through employment camps statewide.
He reiterated that MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed during the Rising Rajasthan Summit, with projects exceeding Rs 8 lakh crore already in progress.
At the event, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to candidates hired by private companies and visited various company stalls to gather additional information.
Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, Chairman of the Vishwakarma Skill Development Board Ramgopal Suthar, along with numerous youths and private employers, were in attendance.
