Gautam Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, indicated that legal proceedings have commenced, and efforts are ongoing to locate the driver of the speeding vehicle.
The police have filed a case for reckless and negligent driving and are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the car and its registration details.

Previously, on February 5, another fatal incident occurred on National Highway 27 near the Veer Kunwar Singh Bus Stand in Kishanganj.
In that event, three friends riding the same motorcycle died after losing control and colliding with a truck.
Witnesses reported that the motorcycle first collided with a divider before striking the truck from behind.
The force of the impact was so intense that the riders were thrown approximately 20–25 meters away.
This tragic event transpired around 3 a.m. while the trio was en route from Siliguri to Purnea.
Authorities rushed the injured parties to a medical facility, but unfortunately, all three were pronounced dead upon arrival.
