New Delhi, July 29 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Tuesday that the three terrorists neutralized by the Indian Armed Forces during 'Operation Mahadev' on July 28 were directly connected to the Pahalgam terror attack.
While addressing the Lok Sabha amid the Operation Sindoor discussion, HM Shah stated, "The Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police successfully eliminated three terrorists—Suleiman, Afghan, and Jibran. Suleiman was a leading commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba and was implicated in the Pahalgam and Gagangir terror incidents. We have substantial evidence backing this claim."
He further disclosed that Afghan and Jibran were also high-ranking commanders within the same terrorist outfit.
"I want to inform everyone that the terrorists responsible for the killings of our citizens in the Baisaran Valley are the same individuals we have neutralized," Shah confirmed.
He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Indian Army's Para 4, CRPF personnel, and J&K Police officials involved in this operation.
The Home Minister pointed out that individuals who previously provided provisions to the terrorists, now detained, have validated their identities, affirming their participation in the Pahalgam massacre.
This significant achievement coincided with the Lok Sabha's commencement of a debate concerning the Pahalgam attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
According to officials, the three terrorists killed in the joint forces operation, which involved the Army, CRPF, and J&K Police, occurred in the upper regions of Dachigam National Park near Mahadev Peak in the Harwan area of Srinagar. All three were Pakistani nationals affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The Indian Army, J&K Police, and additional security forces have been conducting vigorous anti-terrorism operations throughout the region, targeting terrorists, over-ground workers (OGWs), and supporters of terrorism to systematically dismantle the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory.
