Following the incident, both assailants fled, prompting the registration of FIR No. 529/2025 at Timarpur Police Station. They remained at large until Rajeev's recent arrest.

In light of increasing incidents of street crime, armed assaults, and gang activities in the national capital, the Delhi Police's Crime Branch has ramped up efforts to locate and apprehend both active and absconding criminals. The AGS has been specifically assigned to establish intelligence networks and monitor such offenders throughout Delhi and nearby states.
A specialized AGS team, led by Inspector Krishan Kumar and consisting of SI Agam Prasad, SI Braj Lal, ASI Gobind, ASI Surender, ASI Mintu, HC Vinod, HC Dharmraj, and HC Deepak, was formed under the vigilant guidance of Bhagwati Prasad, ACP/AGS, and the directive of Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime Branch to locate the suspects.

Residing in Sanjay Basti, Timarpur, Rajeev lives with his mother, younger brother Vishal, sister Babita, wife Simran, and four-year-old son. He is uneducated and works as a caretaker at a Sulabh toilet in Timarpur.
Due to his drug addiction and connections with criminal elements, he has been engaged in illicit activities since childhood and has faced incarceration multiple times. He is recognized as a declared Bad Character (BC) of PS Timarpur and has a previous conviction in FIR No. 190/2009, filed under Sections 395/397/34 of the IPC at PS Dwarka Sector-23, Delhi.
