Chennai, July 6 (NationPress) In preparation for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the BJP's state unit, in partnership with the AIADMK, has initiated a robust grassroots campaign aimed at enhancing its booth-level organizational framework.
The party plans to conduct a series of zonal conferences throughout Tamil Nadu, with the inaugural one set for Tirunelveli on August 17.
This initiative seeks to invigorate booth committee members and strengthen the electoral readiness of the alliance. The decision was made following a strategic meeting led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his recent visit to the state.
On Sunday, BJP Tamil Nadu State President Nainar Nagenthran kicked off an important training session for booth committee office-bearers at a private college near Chennai. In his address, Nagenthran confidently predicted that the DMK government would be ousted in the upcoming elections.
“The path to victory is evident. Our teams must collaborate closely with AIADMK members to secure a substantial win,” he stated, encouraging booth-level workers to ramp up door-to-door campaigns and local outreach.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L. Murugan, also spoke to the cadre, urging party members to showcase the achievements of the BJP-led Central government over the last 11 years.
He particularly underscored initiatives benefiting farmers, policies aimed at youth, infrastructure advancements, and welfare programs implemented under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
Prominent BJP figures, including former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, National BJP in-charge for Tamil Nadu Arvind Menon, and Co-in-charge P. Sudhakar Reddy, were present and engaged in strategic discussions.
According to sources within the party, additional zonal conferences will take place in key areas such as Tiruvallur, Coimbatore, Tiruvannamalai, Salem, Madurai, and Thanjavur in the following months. These events will concentrate on booth committee mobilization, alliance coordination with the AIADMK, and targeted voter outreach.
The BJP-AIADMK coalition aims to solidify its base by utilizing organizational strength, ideological clarity, and coordinated campaigning as it approaches the pivotal 2026 Assembly elections.
