Chennai, Sep 21 (NationPress) The Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) has engaged independent monitoring agencies to assess the quality and authenticity of placements associated with the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School (NMFS) initiative. This program was launched to enhance the employability of youth by offering industry-ready training to job seekers across various sectors.

The NMFS initiative focuses on individuals aged 18 to 35, encompassing graduates, diploma holders, ITI graduates, and school dropouts.

The government has partnered with esteemed training organizations, industrial entities, governmental bodies, and industrial clusters to provide training modules ranging from 100 to 300 hours. Officials noted that these partners were selected after thorough technical and financial evaluations, which assessed their infrastructure, resources, and expertise.

TNSDC stated that while training programs are proceeding smoothly, the forthcoming crucial step involves ensuring that placements are both genuine and advantageous. Consequently, third-party agencies will be responsible for conducting placement evaluations through structured surveys and field inspections.

These agencies will be required to produce periodic reports detailing the employment status of participants, the quality of job opportunities obtained, and the overall performance ratings of training partners. They will assess several vital criteria, including the relevance of placements to the training received, employer validation, offer letters, joining orders, industry partner credentials, and self-employment records.

Feedback will also be gathered from both employers and candidates. Dedicated field-level enumerators will be specifically assigned for this project to validate information and verify the authenticity of the reported placements.

Additionally, in-person meetings with beneficiaries, industry representatives, and training providers will be organized to cross-check the data.

Analytical reports will then be compiled and shared with TNSDC to facilitate data-driven decision-making and ranking of training partners.

Officials stressed that the primary goal of involving third-party evaluators is to ensure transparency, reinforce accountability, and maximize the value of public investments made in the skill development program.

Through continuous monitoring and validation, the state government aims to protect the interests of unemployed youth while aligning the initiative with the actual demands of the job market.

By integrating independent assessment mechanisms, TNSDC aspires to establish the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School as a benchmark model for youth employability and placement tracking nationwide.
