New Delhi, Sep 21 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura on Monday (September 22), during which he will lay the groundwork for several significant infrastructure initiatives and officiate the inauguration of the revamped Mata Tripura Sundari temple.

His first stop will be Arunachal Pradesh, where he will lay the foundation for various development projects totaling over Rs 5,100 crore in Itanagar. Additionally, he will address a public gathering.

To promote sustainable energy and tap into the region's hydroelectric potential, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for two major hydropower projects valued at over Rs 3,700 crore in Itanagar.

A government press release stated that the Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW) will be constructed in the Siyom sub-basin of Arunachal Pradesh.

Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate a cutting-edge Convention Centre in Tawang, situated at an altitude of over 9,820 feet. This facility will serve as a key venue for national and international conferences, cultural events, and exhibitions.

With the capacity to accommodate over 1,500 delegates, this centre aims to meet global standards and bolster the region's tourism and cultural potential.

The Prime Minister will also launch several pivotal infrastructure projects worth over Rs 1,290 crore, focusing on various sectors like connectivity, health, fire safety, and hostels for working women. These initiatives are anticipated to stimulate economic activity, enhance quality of life, and improve connectivity in the area, as mentioned in the press release.

Additionally, he will engage with local taxpayers, traders, and industry officials to discuss the ramifications of the recent GST rate adjustments. This aligns with his vision to facilitate ease of business and cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial environment.

Following his visit to Arunachal Pradesh, the Prime Minister will head to Tripura to inaugurate the development of the 'Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex' at Matabari under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASAD) scheme.

This temple is one of the ancient 51 Shakti Peethas located in Udaipur, Gomati district of Tripura. This reflects his commitment to promoting and safeguarding India's spiritual and cultural heritage, according to officials.

The project, designed to resemble a tortoise when viewed from above, includes enhancements to the temple grounds, new pathways, renovated entrances, fencing, drainage systems, and a new three-story complex featuring stalls, a meditation hall, guest accommodations, and office spaces. It will significantly contribute to boosting tourism, creating jobs, and fostering business opportunities, ultimately leading to the socio-economic development of the region.
