Patna, May 27 (NationPress) With Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to conduct a roadshow in Patna on May 29, the city's Traffic Police have rolled out a new traffic management plan to facilitate movement and enhance security.
Traffic SP Aparajit Lohan briefed the press on Tuesday, announcing a 'No Entry' policy in several parts of the city from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The Traffic SP advised that those traveling to Patna Airport should plan their journeys accordingly.
“Passengers heading to the airport must arrive before 4 p.m. After this time, they will need to utilize police escort vehicles, which will be stationed at three designated spots,” explained Lohan.
The route for the Prime Minister’s roadshow will commence from Patna Airport, passing through Doomra Chowki, the Income Tax roundabout, and concluding at the BJP office.
In light of this, traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced along the route.
Due to PM Modi's roadshow, roads from Phulwarisharif to the Airport will be entirely closed after 4 p.m. Commuters are recommended to take Jagdev Path instead.
Vehicles proceeding northbound can utilize the Ashiana-Digha Road.
Entry to Doomra Chowki will be strictly controlled during the hours of the roadshow.
Only ticketed passengers will be permitted access to the airport via the Chitkohra Golambar route. Others may take Harding Road.
At the Income Tax Roundabout, all vehicle movement will be halted. To access Gandhi Maidan or the railway station, commuters should navigate via the R Block route.
The district traffic police have designated special parking areas across the city for attendees of the Prime Minister’s roadshow and have coordinated with local NGOs and volunteer groups for effective crowd management.
Patna Police urges residents to avoid non-essential travel within restricted zones during the roadshow hours and adhere to official traffic guidelines for safety and convenience.
