She suffered severe injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite medical efforts.
Following the incident, the driver panicked and fled, subsequently crashing into another vehicle further along the road. The driver later abandoned the Thar SUV near Dadi ka Phatak and escaped on foot.
Authorities confirmed that a post-mortem was conducted, and the body was returned to her family, who transported it back to their village for the last rites. The abandoned Thar SUV has since been confiscated.
A case has been filed at the Kardhani Police Station.
Police officials stated that specialized teams have been set up to locate the fleeing driver, utilizing CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and other evidence for identification and arrest.
The community has expressed outrage, demanding stringent measures against speeding and reckless driving on the expressway. The police assured that the perpetrator would be apprehended promptly, and strict legal actions would ensue.
