Patna, July 1 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in Bihar's Darbhanga district, where a transport officer lost his life and two others were injured when an unidentified speeding vehicle crashed into their SUV. The accident happened around 6 a.m. The victim, Munna Kumar, an ESI from the Darbhanga DTO office, died instantly at the scene of this devastating collision on the Darbhanga-Muzaffarpur NH-27 near the Reliance Petrol Pump, within the jurisdiction of Mabbhi police station.
As reported by the SHO of Mabbhi police station, the unknown speeding vehicle collided with the DTO's vehicle while they were conducting routine checks, resulting in the SUV plunging 30 feet into a roadside ditch.
Along with Munna Kumar, two other officers, Ajay Kumar and Ravi Kumar, suffered serious injuries and have been admitted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where their conditions are reported to be critical.
In response to the incident, MVI Satish Kumar from the Darbhanga DTO office arrived to commence an investigation.
Munna Kumar was a resident of Khori village under Hasanpur police station in Samastipur district.
