Triple Murder in Delhi: Police Assert Son Killed Parents Over 'Constant Criticism'

New Delhi, Dec 4 (NationPress) The Delhi Police successfully resolved the triple murder case that has left the national capital in shock on Wednesday. Joint Commissioner of Police SK Jain reported to IANS that the son, Arjun, was responsible for the murder of his parents and sister. The police official stated that Arjun committed these heinous acts because he felt neglected and humiliated by his family due to his underwhelming academic performance.

The middle-aged couple and their daughter were brutally stabbed inside their residence in Delhi's Neb Sarai locality on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Rajesh Kumar (51), his wife Komal (46), and their daughter Kavita (23). The police revealed that the bodies were found by the couple's son, Arjun, at approximately 5:30 am upon his return from a morning walk.

The authorities have disclosed that Arjun has confessed to the triple homicide. S.K. Jain explained that there were no indications of theft or forced entry into the home, and the victims were discovered lying on their bed.

During questioning, Arjun began to alter his statements, as reported by the police officer. He struggled to provide a precise timeline of when he departed or returned, the officer stated. Additionally, Arjun had fresh injuries on his hand, and he was unable to clarify how he obtained them, Jain informed IANS.

The motive behind this tragic incident is truly disturbing. Although Arjun excelled in sports, he faced challenges in his studies.

During his interrogation, Arjun disclosed that his father would continually criticize him for his lacking academic performance. Just days prior, his father had physically assaulted him in front of several witnesses. These events left Arjun profoundly frustrated, and he also felt envious of the apparent favoritism his parents showed towards his sister, according to Jain.

He had long suspected that his parents intended to transfer all their ancestral property to his sister. This belief prompted Arjun to devise a plan to eliminate his entire family. He selected the anniversary of his parents, hoping that no one would suspect him and that he could evade detection.

However, the situation did not unfold as he had envisioned. During the police interrogation, Arjun's inconsistent statements raised suspicions, said Jain. After facing pressure, Arjun ultimately confessed that he was responsible for the murder of his family.
