Nadda.
After arriving in the national capital on Thursday, CM Saha posted on X following his meeting with HM Shah on Friday: "Had the honor to meet Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji in New Delhi. We discussed vital development initiatives of our state government and I sought his esteemed guidance and support from the Centre for further advancement."
In another post on his X account, the Chief Minister stated: “Today, I had a courtesy call on the Honorable Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji, in Delhi.
“During our meeting, I provided the Honorable Health Minister with updates concerning various issues related to the enhancement of health services, particularly the upgrade of super specialty services across different departments in the state, and requested necessary support,” noted CM Saha, who also oversees both the Home and Health and Family Welfare departments.
Earlier this week, the Chief Minister mentioned that the state government had engaged with investors to establish a Homeopathy Medical College in Tripura.
Highlighting the longstanding challenges faced by homeopathy treatment, CM Saha, a dental surgeon by profession, remarked: “We must address these challenges. We are actively working to establish a Homeopathy Medical College. Investors from outside the state have shown interest, and we have encouraged them to proceed with this initiative.”
He emphasized that the origins of homeopathy trace back to West Bengal, from where it proliferated throughout the nation, noting that residents of Tripura historically traveled to West Bengal for homeopathic treatments.
The Chief Minister further indicated that the state government is striving to establish a medical hub in Tripura.
Currently, the state is home to three medical colleges—one government-owned, one semi-government, and one private. Several private entities have proposed to open additional medical colleges in Tripura.
