New Delhi, Oct 15 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, engaged in a significant meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday, focusing on the state's developmental projects and other critical issues, as reported by officials.
An official from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated late Wednesday night that during the discussion, the Chief Minister briefed Home Minister Shah on the current situation in Tripura and various development initiatives.
Saha shared on Facebook, “It was a pleasure to meet Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji in New Delhi this evening. I provided updates on the ongoing development initiatives in Tripura and other significant matters.”
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am thankful for his continuous guidance and steadfast support in propelling our growth journey.”
On the same day, Saha also had a separate discussion with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding the railway infrastructure development in Tripura.
The CMO official mentioned that to enhance Tripura’s communication system, the Chief Minister met with the Railways and Information & Broadcasting Minister at Rail Bhawan in New Delhi to deliberate on the commencement of the Vande Bharat Train, the operation of electric trains, and the improvement of the Cyber Security Hub.
In a post on X, Saha noted, “Today, I had the honor of meeting Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi. We discussed various key initiatives as part of our commitment to realizing the vision of Viksit Tripura, Viksit Bharat as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji.”
During their meeting, several crucial initiatives were addressed, including the launch of the Vande Bharat Train between Agartala and Guwahati, doubling railway tracks, operating electric trains, introducing new and upgraded coaches for long-distance routes, and maintaining railway stations.
The Chief Minister shared plans for “new and upgraded facilities and courses for TFTI, Agartala, further initiatives including call center development, and improvements to the Cyber Security Hub.”
Earlier on the same day, the Tripura Chief Minister visited Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan in New Delhi.
Saha expressed, “I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to him on his well-deserved election to this prestigious position. His visionary leadership, dedication, and commitment to public service will continue to inspire us all. I also cordially invited the Hon’ble Vice President to visit Tripura for the darshan of Maa Tripura Sundari,” he mentioned on X.
