Agartala, June 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, announced on Thursday that modern and citizen-centric infrastructures are being developed in every district and sub-division of the state to ensure that development is inclusive.
During the virtual inauguration of 10 projects and the foundation stone laying of five more in the northern region's Unakoti district, Saha highlighted that essential infrastructures like educational institutions, healthcare facilities, sub-divisional offices, and fire stations are being upgraded to meet modern standards throughout the state.
He mentioned that since January, the state government has launched infrastructure projects totaling around Rs 578 crore, emphasizing that development is a primary focus for the government. “There is no room for corruption; the BJP government is dedicated to progress,” he stated.
Without direct references to specific individuals or political entities, Saha remarked that some individuals are attempting to undermine the government. “However, there are limits to everything. Any crossing of those limits will not be accepted under any circumstances,” he asserted.
He informed that following the BJP's rise to power, the Dearness Allowance for government employees has seen an increase, stating, ‘We are striving to provide as much DA as possible. Our efforts have led to notable improvements in the districts of Gomati and Dhalai, which have received recognition for their hard work. Modernization of the Kumarghat, Dharmanagar, and Udaipur railway stations is ongoing with central funding. Despite local reports of delays, I will address this issue with the Union Minister,” he added.
The Chief Minister expressed the government’s commitment to further initiatives aimed at the overall welfare of citizens. “Previously, we witnessed rampant corruption and fraudulent behaviors. Since Narendra Modi took office as Prime Minister in 2014, the nation has been steadily progressing, and he is fortifying the country,” he noted. He also mentioned PM Modi's strong response to terrorism through ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Saha asserted that stability and law and order in the state are crucial for development. “Ongoing development is evident in various sectors, including health, agriculture, and sports. This progress is made possible due to the public's support for this government,” he stated.
He emphasized the government’s aspiration for a fair environment to thrive in, and further advancements are being pursued through Artificial Intelligence technology. The event was attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, MLA Bhagaban Das, District Magistrate Tamal Majumdar, and other senior officials.
