Agartala, Feb 26 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, declared on Thursday that his government's primary focus is on the welfare of its citizens, emphasizing that the populace places their trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its effective governance and developmental initiatives.
Speaking at the launch of the Viksit Bharat-Viksit Tripura initiative at Children’s Park in Agartala, Saha affirmed that the current administration is dedicated to inclusive development, striving for progress that benefits all segments of society.
He expressed optimism that by 2030, India's economy will rank as the third-largest globally, propelled by continuous reforms and robust leadership.
Reflecting on India's upcoming centenary of independence in 2047, he noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined a vision called Viksit Bharat 2047, aimed at transforming India into a developed nation by that year.
“Nationwide, there is a collective effort to achieve this vision. The public has great faith in the Prime Minister’s roadmap. Tripura is a vital part of a prosperous India, and we have already achieved the fifth position among 28 states in crafting a strategy for a developed Tripura. Work towards this goal is already in progress,” he stated.
Highlighting national security, Dr. Saha asserted that a strong defense framework is crucial for sustainable development.
“India has never sought aggression. This year's budget includes substantial funding for defense. Peace is essential for development, which requires enhancing infrastructure, uplifting socio-economic conditions, and initiatives such as empowering Lakhpati Didis. A united effort will help realize the Prime Minister’s aspirations,” he further explained.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the public supports the BJP and Prime Minister Modi for their commitment to work and development.
Additionally, he announced that Tripura has launched the State Innovation Mission for the first time in India, backed by NITI Aayog, to promote innovation and creative thinking.
“The government will provide all necessary support to ensure this mission's success,” he assured.
Saha also mentioned the government's active role in preserving the cultural heritage of all communities, with a focus on developing tourism, including religious tourism.
He concluded by noting that the law and order situation in the state has significantly improved, fostering a favorable environment for growth. Present at the event were Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya and Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar.
