Agartala, Jan 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, expressed that under the inspirational guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state administration is unwaveringly dedicated to fostering a system of governance that is transparent, accountable, and centered around the people.

Saha remarked that the dynamism and visionary approach of PM Modi have initiated a wave of accelerated development and authentic empowerment across the state, significantly benefiting the youth, women, and Janjati (tribal) communities, while also preserving India’s enduring values and cultural heritage.

During a principal event held to commemorate the statehood day at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, Saha stated that the state is confidently advancing towards the aspiration of a new Tripura—a vibrant mosaic of inclusive growth, rich cultural legacy, empowered youth, advanced infrastructure, and a self-sufficient future.

“I reiterate our unwavering commitment to build a stronger, more prosperous, and progressive Tripura,” he conveyed to the audience. While emphasizing the influence of PM Modi’s Act East Policy, CM Saha noted that Tripura and the broader Northeastern region are presently progressing on various developmental fronts, bolstered by enhanced connectivity and infrastructure.

Since the BJP government took charge in Tripura in 2018, the state has risen to become one of the top performers in the nation across several essential sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, industry, infrastructure development, women’s empowerment, public safety, and self-reliance.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government’s core goals are to elevate the living standards of every citizen, strengthen the economy, maximize the utilization of the state’s resources, and decentralize authority through transparent governance.

Reaffirming the dedication to constructing a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ Saha stated that the Tripura government is committed to realizing a more developed state by adhering to the vision and direction provided by Prime Minister Modi.

Encouraging the populace to renew their commitment, the Chief Minister called upon everyone to vow on Statehood Day to collectively shape a ‘New Tripura.’

During the ceremony, Saha shared the Prime Minister’s letter addressed to him on Tripura's Statehood Day. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his warm wishes, reaffirming the Centre’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development, improved connectivity, peace, and prosperity in the Northeast.

In his letter, PM Modi emphasized that the government's 'Purvodaya' vision, aimed at accelerating growth in eastern India, is significantly impacting the development and progress in the Northeastern region. He acknowledged that for many years, the people of the Northeast, including Tripura, felt disconnected from the national mainstream.

“Our government seized the opportunity to alter this reality by bridging distances, strengthening emotional connections, and resonating with the people of this region,” he remarked.

PM Modi noted that over the past eight years, the double-engine governments, the NDA government at the Centre and CM Saha's administration in the state, have dedicated themselves to transforming Tripura. “This ongoing effort aligns with the historic mandate given by the people of Tripura in 2018 and 2023,” he pointed out.

On Statehood Day, the Tripura government presented various awards to several distinguished personalities in recognition of their exceptional contributions to education, science, health, music, culture, cinema, women’s empowerment, politics, and social service.
