Bhopal, March 28 (NationPress) A devastating head-on collision between a truck and a container occurred near Barodia Kalan village under the jurisdiction of Malthone police station in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, resulting in one fatality and four injuries, as confirmed by an official on Friday.

The incident took place around 12:45 a.m. close to the Barodia Kalan outpost.

As per police reports and the investigation officer, the container was traveling from Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, while the truck was moving in the opposite direction.

It was discovered that the truck, which has the registration number RJ 11 GC 3821, had entered the wrong lane, causing the tragic collision.

The impact resulted in the death of the container's driver, Keshav Dhakad, a resident of a village in the Bhangarh police station area of Subhashpura district in Shivpuri.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Malthone hospital.

Four other individuals were also injured in the accident.

The injured include Raja Lodhi, Hariram Lodhi, Sanjay Madotiya, and the container's cleaner, Hariom Dhakad.

Initially receiving treatment at Malthone hospital, they were subsequently transferred to the district hospital in Sagar for more extensive medical care.

Reports from the hospital indicate that their conditions are stable. Police have notified the families of both the deceased and the injured.

“Legal measures are currently in progress, as the truck driver, Raja Lodhi, has been deemed responsible for the wrong lane entry that led to this incident,” the officer stated. Authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report of the deceased to continue their investigation.

The incident was reported to the Badoniya police outpost by a nearby Dhaba owner.

When questioned about whether the drivers were under the influence, the investigation officer reported that the truck driver was sober. However, the post-mortem report will provide insight into the state of the other driver who tragically lost his life.

This unfortunate event underscores the risks associated with reckless driving and serves as a poignant reminder of the necessity for adhering to traffic regulations.

Authorities are diligently investigating the case to ensure accountability and justice for all impacted by this tragic accident.
