Chennai, Feb 3 (NationPress) In a significant step towards kicking off its Assembly election campaign, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) announced on Tuesday that it will start distributing application forms for party members eager to stand in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

This initiative marks the beginning of the party’s organized candidate selection process as it prepares for a statewide political contest.

TVK’s general secretary, N. Anand, stated in an official declaration from the party headquarters that application forms would be available from February 6 to February 14. Members of the party interested in representing TVK in the elections can collect and submit their forms during this time frame.

As per the announcement, the distribution of applications will commence at 12 noon on February 6. For the following days, forms can be collected between 10 am and 6 pm at the headquarters. Aspirants must meticulously fill out all required information and submit their forms along with necessary supporting documents before the deadline. Party leaders have characterized this initiative as a vital step in promoting internal democracy and ensuring a transparent candidate selection.

By directly inviting applications from grassroots members, TVK aims to identify committed workers with strong local ties and public trust to represent the party in various constituencies.

The party has expressed its intention to contest all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu, showcasing its ambition to become a substantial political entity in the State. The leadership believes that broadening its electoral reach is essential to positioning itself as a credible alternative to established Dravidian parties.

Highlighting a broader political vision, the statement emphasized that acquiring political power is crucial for realizing the aspirations of the people and accelerating development in Tamil Nadu.

TVK reiterated that effective governance and policies centered around the populace remain its primary commitments. Under the leadership of its president, the party is ramping up organizational efforts at the grassroots level, fortifying booth committees and mobilizing teams ahead of the elections.

Anand mentioned that by inviting applications ahead of time, the party can streamline its preparations and select candidates who resonate with its mission and values.

With this announcement, TVK has officially entered election mode, laying the groundwork for a dynamic and competitive contest in the upcoming months.
