New Delhi, March 27 (NationPress) Tragically, two children have succumbed to what is believed to be food poisoning at the Nirvana Rajkiya Bal Grah, a state-operated children’s home located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday. This unfortunate event has resulted in 23 additional children being hospitalized, with two in critical condition and transferred to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) for advanced care.
The affected children were taken to Lok Bandhu Hospital as their health worsened.
Dr. Rajiv Dixit, Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of Lok Bandhu Hospital, stated, "It’s challenging to confirm if this is strictly food poisoning. Upon their arrival, several children exhibited signs of anaemia and dehydration. We have conducted all necessary tests, including X-rays and blood analyses."
Dr. N.B. Singh, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), noted, "Some children were experiencing vomiting and diarrhea... The precise cause remains uncertain, but they may have been significantly dehydrated."
